I found a new horse.....
Then began the unpleasant search for a new prospect for me. I wanted something age 3 to 10 that was not started on the barrels but really broke! Brandon and I prefer mares, not just to bred later but I get along with hormones better than geldings. I tried not to be a complete pedigree snob but I really can not help it. Oh, and it had to be a bargain!!!! I looked at 7 horses......6 were lame(seriously peps), 1 was a midget(tape measure people, no guessing!) and 1 was the mare we bought. My math is correct the midget was lame too! One of my best friends Jennifer Zeller (the South Dakota Cowgirl) knows the girl who had her for sale and like everyone right now she need to sell one and get some cash flow! Jennifer told Jamie that she knew a perfect home for the mare...My house!
She is by Special Show and out of a daughter of Moon Lark. Special Show is by Special Effort and we all know how much I Love Special Effort. She is big and sorrel with some roan and a coon tail! She has the typical Special Effort mare disposition... not real trusting and bitchy at first but then they come around and love you! My favorite mare Gucci and this mare look so much alike. They even have the same marking on their faces. I did not know what the mare's name was when I brought her home so I named her Vanity. Her registered name is Ima Special Lark(we will have to see about changing that...sounds like a western pleasure gelding's name.) I think she has been around the barrels a bit like trotting them or something. I want her to go the left and change a couple things about the way she is broke, but I can hardly wait to get her bulked up, in shape and going! Thanks to allbreedpedigree.com for the link to her pedigree. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/ima+special+lark
Thank-you so much, Christine Peck for all your help and support!!! And, Thanks so much Brian and Jamie Buckingham for letting us purchase this nice horse!

Jills Blue Moon~Braska
This is my baby!!! I love her. She is the best 2yo I have ever rode. She is by Nebraska Blue Moon and out of a 1/2 sister to Charmayne James' stallion A Black Feature. She was broke by John Clark, Peyton Rainey's husband and is trotting a pretty barrel pattern. 2010 BFA juvenile futurity hopeful! Here is a link to her pedigree, provide by allbreedpedigree.com
Strings to the Moon
She is built like a little tank. She by Nebraska Blue Moon and out of a foundation breed mare. She will be an awesome all around horse. She is major ATHLETIC!!!! So catty! She is leading and standing tied. This filly is sold and from what they say is doing really well with her new owner, Austin.
Here is her pedigree. Thanks allbreedpedigree.com
Blue Cyclone Frost
Here is a link to her pedigree. Thanks, allbreedpedigree.com!!!!
Frosty Twisted Moon
Azrael is super sweet and is my favorite by far of 2008 Nebraska fillies. She reminds me allot of Braska. She is gentle, standing and leading. You can rub her all over and brush her mane and tail out. She is easy catch. Azrael is out of a half sister to Charmayne James' black stallion A Black Feature and goes back to some great TB breeding. Her sire, Nebraska Blue Moon is a grandson of Blue Valentine and Raise Your Glass and an own son of Leo Hancock Hayes. This filly is currently not for sale. Please check back or contact us if you are interested.
Here is a link to her pedigree. Thanks All Breed Pedigree!!!

Frosty Moon Bug
Frosty Moon Bug is a July 2008. She is true black with a strip and no socks. Super sweet and athletic! She is currently being halter broke and is doing really well. She will stand tied up like an old horse. This filly is going to mature to be about 15.2 to 16.1. She is bred extremely well also. A grandaughter of Leo Hancock Hayes and Frosty Feature. Her dam is a 1/2 sister to Charmayne James' black stallion A Black Feature. Here is a link to her pedigree.
VM Valentine

Lucky is a 3 yo black son of Leo Hancock Hayes and out of a foundation bred mare. Lucky is as close to Blue Valentine as you can get these days....a grandson. He is broke! You can also put kids on him. Lucky is trotting the barrel pattern. He gets hauled to barrel races and nothing bothers him. He has great bone and near perfect conformation. He is around 15 hands. Long mane and tail!! We work cattle and check fences on him. I rode him in the river for a few miles the other day; then in the woods, we saw deer, turkeys, dove, wild pigs and more....no boogers. Lucky would love to be a rope or ranch horse, but at my house he is stuck being a barrel horse.
